New Exhibit: Song In Art

Super excited to be a part of a new exhibit at Seed Studio Gallery in Traverse City this summer.
The new show is called Song in Art and is chock-full of artwork in various mediums all inspired by or created around the theme of music. Obviously this is right up my alley and I have about a dozen pieces included in the exhibit—framed limited edition art prints as well as original mixed media pieces (something new and super exciting)
Song in Art will be up through mid-july in Traverse City, so anyone visiting the area please make sure to check it out!
More shows are coming this summer. Please follow on Facebook, Twitter and sign up for my email list so you catch all the news.
Shop Strong Odors on Society6

Things have slowed down a bit on the blog lately, but not in vain! One of the great new things I’ve been working on is the Strong Odors shop on Society6!
Sometimes I’ll create an illustration that I just love. Usually these are the least popular among readers, but that just figures. Other times readers really resonate with a particular image (like Denial, for example) that would make a great print, but isn’t quite right for the limited edition prints that I have in my Etsy shop.
So I’ve been excited to launch this fun new shop on Society6! Not only does it offer fabulous prints in a variety of sizes (so everyone can afford one), but you can even get yours shipped to your door already framed!
What makes this shop extra fun is they have cool other items too, like skins/cases for your iPhone and even Strong Odors t-shirts.
Check out the shop now, and make sure to share it with your friends!

Announcing: Old & New Project

For CollabFriday today I’m announcing my most recent BIG collaboration: Old & New Project
This past year I’ve been able to meet several Twitter connections face-to-face for the first time. It’s a pretty cool experience picking up with friends as if you’ve been that way for years.
I was especially lucky to meet up with Jim LePage at last summer’s WMCFest. We’d already featured one-another’s work on our respective sites, and with the overwhelming amount of shared passions it was really only a matter of time before we joined forces on something big.
What was really cool was how we’d both already dreamed up a similar idea independently from one another—to do a collaborative biblical-themed design project with skilled graphic artists from around the world. Read more
Children-of-the-Corn Five

Cyber-five to my 200th Facebook follower!
I’m up late working and watching Children of the Corn on Netflix, obviously.
How’d you like to be the recipient of your very own cyber-five? Next one’s going to my 800th Twitter follower. Be it!
Denno’s Museum Center NW Michigan Exhibit

I’m lucky to be one of only five artists to have multiple pieces included in the Denno’s Museum Center regional artist showcase.
It was interesting to see the diverse styles represented in the show and wonderful to be among so many talented individuals who call northern Michigan “home” at the opening this past weekend. Read more
