I’ve noticed that the more personal my writing, the more readers I get. A lot more.

It’s hard though…

It is a lot more fun to write about new tunes or stuff that annoys me or whatever…

So either you are a bunch of bloodsucking fiends who take pleasure in my exposing myself…

or…

You share some of those hurts… you identify with my feelings… and you find some relief when someone articulates some of the same anguish or trouble or pain you’ve experienced yourself.

I’m pretty sure it’s the latter… and if so, I’m glad to put my heart out there for you…

But be patient with me… I can’t write something so personal every day… it takes a week or so to recover from writing stuff like that.

And it’ll take years before I work up the courage to share the strongest of odors… the ones that make you gag and cry and practically puke…

You’ll love that stuff.

In the meantime, enjoy as I do, the little things… like every bite of every single sandwich.

    I really appreciate your openness here on your blog. It’s scary to let people know the real you. Some of the things you have said have helped me understand you in a more significant way than I probably ever would otherwise. And I’m really glad for it… And when I connect with you deeply through those personal stories, I think I need just as much time to recover from them as you do. If we are really feeling you, I think the frequency takes care of itself.
